The preparations for the 42nd ASEAN Summit in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara, are almost complete, according to Setya Utama, the secretary of the State Secretariat Ministry. The summit will commence on May 6, 2023, and the remaining 10 percent of the preparation will be completed a day before the peak summit agenda on May 10 and 11. The 2023 ASEAN Summit will hold many events, including the arrival of ASEAN permanent representatives, the ASEAN Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPR) meeting, an ASEAN SOM (Senior Officials’ Meeting), the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Meeting, a spouse program, and a press briefing by Indonesian President Joko Widodo. The summit will conclude with a beautiful sunset while sailing towards Bidadari Island and a welcoming dinner at Ayana Hotel. The infrastructure for the event is supported by several parties, including SOEs (state-owned enterprises) and PUPR (Public Works and Public Housing). All attendees will enjoy the beauty of the summit and its events.
