The general of the Slovak national football team at EURO 2020 ended without goals in Austria. After Sunday’s duel at the Ernst Happel Stadium in Vienna, coach Štefan Tarkovič stated that his team had something to bounce off after the performance against another participant in the final tournament.

Tarkovič was sorry for the injury of the striker Ivan Schranz, or the unchanged chances of his successor on the lawn, Michal Ďuriš. He was pleased with the performance of goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka and several other players fighting for the chance to play in the basic line-up at the European Championships.

In St. Petersburg, the Slovaks will play against Poland and Sweden, then move to Seville for a match with Spain. “There are already EUROs in the team. We have to concentrate well and prepare well. The camp is over, we are all looking forward to the tournament,” said midfielder Ondrej Duda.
