A presentation of the Omoda S5 GT, the fastest and most powerful modification of the compact Chinese sedan sold in our country, took place in Russia. The novelty is available in two trim levels: Neo and Ultra. For the first, they ask for 2,839,900 rubles, and for the second – 2,939,900 rubles, excluding discounts, promotions and special offers.
Under the hood is a 1.6 petrol turbo engine with a capacity of 150 hp with a maximum torque of 275 Nm, as well as a 7-speed “robot” with a double “wet” clutch. The GT version is only 3 “horses” more powerful than the turbocharged Omoda S5, but noticeably faster. Acceleration to hundreds of new items according to the passport takes 7.5 s versus 9.7 s for the S5 with a 1.5 turbo engine.
The list of equipment of the initial version of Neo includes: cruise control, dual-zone climate control, electric parking brake with AutoHold function, central locking, keyless entry and engine start with a button, as well as remote engine start. By default, the Omoda S5 GT has a leather interior, heated multifunction steering wheel, all seats, windshield.
In addition, the front seats have a ventilation function, and the driver’s seat has electric adjustment. Plus a panoramic sunroof, wireless smartphone charging and ambient lighting. There’s also a multimedia system with a 10.25-inch touchscreen, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay and AndroidAuto, and six speakers.
The Ultra package is distinguished by the presence of a surround view system, curtain airbags, as well as a set of electronic assistants from monitoring objects in blind spots and lane departure warning to warning functions when opening doors and adaptive cruise control. And in this version, the driver’s seat has an electrically adjustable lumbar support.
The model with seven colors to choose from is available both in the showrooms of the official dealers of the brand and online.
