A musical thriller about the lives of the two striking personalities has been announced and will premiere in the music theater on February 10th.
Strategic
The interwoven biographies of the great cousins are traced in a kaleidoscopic manner. Both women had to struggle throughout their lives to assert themselves in the Elizabethan world of men. They pursued very different strategies: Elisabeth styled herself as a “Virgin Queen” so as not to diminish her power through marriage. Mary, on the other hand, was forced to secure her position as Queen of Scotland through marriage. Intrigue and the unlucky choice of husband led to murder, scandals and finally to Maria’s escape to England, where she was put under house arrest by Elisabeth and executed after 20 years in prison.
With choir & orchestra
Enough dramatic material for the big stage. Draws for the production Simon Eichenberger responsible, of Henry Mason The book and the lyrics come from, the music comes from Thomas Zaufke. Apart from the actors of the musical ensemble, the extra choir of the Landestheater Linz and the Bruckner Orchestra Linz are also involved.

There will be a premiere on February 9th: The Dance Piece „Memoryhouse“ by the Polish choreographer Maciej Kuźmiński is an excursion into mythology: a mysterious tribe of people covered in ash is reminiscent of figures from ancient times. These include Sisyphus, the cunning deceiver who is condemned to roll a boulder up a mountain only to fall and start all over again, including the Satyr, half man, half goat, the Dionysian Eros, and the Moirians, those three Women who control the fate of humanity.
