Coqueluche is a comedy that tells the story of young Juanita (Juliet Poggio) who is in the care of some nuns in a boarding school until they are invaded by the whooping cough epidemic, called coqueluche. For this reason, the mother superior (Mónica Villa) leaves the young woman in the care of a theater diva actress, Victoria (Betiana Blum) who lives in the mansion next door to her to protect the young woman from contagion.
The diva is spending a weekend with her much younger gallant lover (Mario Guerci) and the arrival of the girl who must be educated and refined becomes more complex when the diva’s son (Agustín Sullivan) appears by surprise and the entanglements so that the truth does not come to light.
