The first Styrian BBO week – Education, Career, Orientation – offered a comprehensive and free offer on the subjects of “career choice and educational decision”.

Five days, over 30 online offers and more than 200 users per day: those responsible for the first Styria-wide focus week on education, work and orientation (BBO), which will be held from November 23 to 27 via the website www.bbo-woche.at held, draw a positive balance. The focus was on questions such as “Which school is right for me?”, “What do I have to consider when applying?” And “Which path should my child go?”, Which experts answered free of charge in various short videos and live webinars. The offer was aimed at parents with children from primary school age, teenagers and adults. The action week was organized by the seven regional coordinators for educational and professional orientation (RBBOK) who work in the respective regional managements of the major Styrian regions, together with the Province of Styria, Department 6 for Education and Society, and other partners.

“We are very pleased that the BBO week was so well received in the year it premiered,” said Kerstin Hausegger-Nestelberger, spokeswoman for the regional coordinators for education and career orientation and one of the initiators. The Styria-wide action week is to be held once a year in the future in order to promote awareness of the important decisions relating to education and work and to motivate people to use the regional offers on the topic. “Decisions about training and career are among the most formative. With the BBO week we are creating a valuable offer that supports young Styrians, their parents and adults in these considerations in an uncomplicated way and free of charge, ”said Regional Councilor Juliane Bogner-Strauss.

Most of the offers presented remain online even after the campaign week and are free of charge for young people, parents and interested parties at any time on the website retrievable.
