Ingolstadt – FC Ingolstadt successfully started the race to catch up against Dynamo Dresden announced by the new coach Rüdiger Rehm at the start of the second half of the season.

In the second game under Rehm, the Schanzer won the promoted duel against the guests from Saxony with 3: 0 (2: 0). They were able to draw new hope in the relegation battle at the end of the year.

Rehm celebrated three goals in the empty Ingolstadt sports park. Defender Nico Antonitsch (1st minute) and Dresden’s Kevin Ehlers, who unluckily extended a Stefan Kutschke header into his own case in the 17th minute, ensured the break. Substitute Filip Bilbija (87th) set the goal final point.

The bottom of the table improved to ten points with the second win of the season, but remains far from being saved. Dresden is going into the coming year with 22 points. The progress under Rehm was clearly visible at the FCI against the Saxons. The lightning goal from Antonitsch, who poked the ball over the line after a free-kick flank from the half-field, was helpful. The second goal was initiated by Marcel Gaus with a precise flank on the ex-Dresdner Kutschke. The FCI dominated, the defense was also stable. After the break, the guests ran up, but it lacked penetration.
