Thomas Tuchel is about to complete his first year as coach of the Chelsea FC. He arrived with the London team in low hours and transformed it in just half a year into a football-playing machine that was able to lift the UEFA Champions League and of climb four positions in the Premier League. The German feels at home in London and said so in the press conference prior to his team’s match against Brighton.
“Renew contract? I’m not even sure, I think I have a contract until 2024. Let’s try to stay all the time, because history tells us that it’s not that easy. But I’m confident, I don’t want to be anywhere else. I am happy, but I know that results are needed and I am responsible for that”, commented in the previous one of the party.
Also, another of the issues on which he was questioned was about the difficulty of winning the current league, after losing to Manchester City who is leading alone and with a firm step: “If I tell you that we have no chance of winning the league now, you may think ‘something is wrong’; if I say yes, it is a case of doubt my ability to train this club“.
