Edson Álvarez has received his first suspension in the Premier League, after he accumulated another yellow card, this time against Everton, which will lead to a one-day suspension in the English championship.

Edson played the entire ninety minutes in the game that the Hammers lost a goal to zero against Everton at home at the London Stadium in a very disappointing result for those led by David Moyes.

Álvarez was cautioned in the 83rd minute, however it is not just another card, since this will have consequences and he will not be able to be part of the team on matchday eleven of the Premier League, this being the first time that due to suspension he cannot play a local championship game with his new team.

The Mexican midfielder will miss the match against Brentford to be played on November 4 at the Brentford Community Stadium.

Fortunately for the Hammers, the suspension is not applicable in the League Cup, where they will first face Arsenal in the middle of the week, seeking to continue advancing further in one of the oldest tournaments in football, so the “Machín” will be able to be part of the team that faces those led by Mikel Arteta.
