Bola.net – Two rich English clubs, Chelsea and Manchester City, are reportedly worried about being relegated from the Premier League after Everton was officially punished for violating Financial Fair Play (FFP).
As previously reported, the Premier League on Friday (17/11/2023) evening WIB officially imposed a 10-point deduction against Everton due to FFP violations.
Not only that, Everton is now also facing huge compensation claims from a number of clubs, starting from Leicester City, Southampton, Nottingham Forest and Burnley.

Now as reported The Timestwo clubs that are now rightly concerned about sanctions from the Premier due to FFP violations are Chelsea and Manchester City.
A number of British legal experts believe that Chelsea and Man City could even receive very severe punishment in the form of relegation from the Premier League to the Championship.
Chelsea is being investigated over allegations of a number of illegal transfers from the time of Roman Abramovich’s ownership of the club. This problem was discovered after an internal audit was carried out by the new club owner, Todd Boehly.
Meanwhile, Man City was charged with 115 FFP violations last January. City has firmly denied these accusations and has hired a top British legal firm, KC Lord Pannick.

British lawyer Simon Leaf said that the points deduction sanction against Everton will certainly make the board of directors of Chelsea and Manchester City afraid.
“This is an important moment in the history of the League. “This will cause shockwaves, especially in the boardrooms of Chelsea and Manchester City,” Leaf was quoted as saying The Sun.
“This is the first time the Premier League has imposed a points deduction for a breach of FFP rules in its history.”
