A woman claims, in statements to ‘The Sun’, that she has been sexually abused since April 2021 by a current Premier League player, whose name has not been disclosed. According to the same source, the victim reported the crime for the first time in July last year, when the police arrested the individual at home. Shortly afterwards, he was caught after being accused of rape, this time by another woman. The British daily reports that the player in question claimed a total of five victims, committing crimes of rape, sexual abuse and controlling behavior.
Despite complaints made to the Premier League, the Football Association and the player’s club, no measures were taken against him. In one of the responses that the first victim received to an email, one of the organizations stated that “there was no evidence that this could pose a risk to children or adults”.
Despite stating that it cannot identify the suspect “for legal reasons”, ‘The Sun’ assures that he denies any and all accusations.
