Premier League plans turbo season from June 1st – Football

The Premier League is apparently aiming to resume the season interrupted by the Corona crisis on June 1.

The plan is a “best case scenario” that aims to limit the high losses of the clubs, which continue to have to pay the player and coach salaries. It is also being considered to restart league and national cup play in front of empty ranks.

Problem: Many players’ contracts end on June 30th. According to the report, however, the league believes that it is possible to reach an agreement with the professionals (despite falling wages) and the world association FIFA in this situation.

The postponement of the European championship planned for the summer by one year has created space in the season calendar so that the national competitions can be ended if the situation permits. The ball currently rests in the English professional leagues until April 30.
