The English football club Newcastle United is reportedly interested in the German national team goalkeeper Marc-Andreho ter Stegen from FC Barcelona.

According to the Spanish periodical El Nacional, the new owners of United are willing to pay the Catalans 55 million euros for the 29-year-old goalkeeper.

El Nacional did not source the information, according to the DPA agency, both clubs and ter Stegen himself did not comment on it by noon on Friday. The Slovak national team goalkeeper Martin Dúbravka works in Newcastle, who, after recovering from an injury, has already appeared in the nomination of the Slovak Republic at the end of the World Cup 2022 qualification.
