James Rodriguez looks set to miss Everton‘s FA Cup clash with Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham Hotspur due to a muscular problem.
The Toffees are left sweating on the Colombian’s fitness, and Carlo Ancelotti won’t know whether or not he’ll be up to the task of playing until just before the game.
James was withdrawn in the second half of Everton’s draw at Manchester United over the weekend, having played an important part as they fought from 2-0 down to level things at 2-2.
“He’ll train today,” Ancelotti said on Tuesday. “If he’s ready, he’ll play tomorrow. If not, he’ll play on Sunday.
“He has a calf problem. I took him off on Sunday to avoid risks. We’ll see how he is.”
Everton‘s game against Spurs is one that is highly anticipated in England.
Whatever happens, James should feature against Fulham on Sunday.
