Benfica coach Jorge Jesus came with an ever so small sting to Ruben Dias when he said goodbye to his teammates.
Earlier this week, Manchester City confirmed that the club is bringing in midfielder Ruben Dias from Benfica, while Nicolas Otamendi is going the opposite way.
According to the BBC, the transfer fee is just under 800 million kroner for the Portuguese national team player.
– You go to a smaller club
Shortly after the transfer was confirmed by the clubs, Benfica released one YouTubevideo, where you could say goodbye to Dias with your teammates.
However, it is coach Jorge Jesus who has made sure that the video has gone viral, after he in front of the entire Benfica stable, including a weeping Ruben Dias, stated the following:
– That’s life as a football player. You go from a big club, much bigger than City. We’re just less economical. That’s what makes the difference.
