Chelsea players are on a roller coaster in the Premier League. After four consecutive successes obtained between the beginning of September and mid-October, Graham Potter’s team has not won in five games.
Azpilicueta’s teammates on Saturday fell against Newcastle (0-1), during the 16th day, thus suffering the third consecutive defeat. The Blues are in 8th place in the English league table.

“It hasn’t been easy, we’ve played a lot of games and some key player injuries have been troubling us,” said Graham Potter during the post-match press conference. Interviewed by Canal + Foot, central defender Kalidou Koulibaly believes that “Chelsea are not in his place and we are the only ones to blame. We have to look each other in the eye and keep working to put Chelsea back in their place”.
The London outfit now have six weeks to prepare for the second half of the season. But without his internationals he went to Qatar to participate in the World Cup. Not easy.
