This heralded an interesting and even match. However, taking into account the last weeks, the hosts seemed to be the favorites.
And it was Chelsea who started this match brilliantly. In the 15th minute, Cole Palmer gave his team the lead by converting a pass from Nicolas Jackson. This goal added self-confidence and added wind to the local team. More goals seemed to be only a matter of time.
After two quarters of an hour, Chelsea was already leading 2-0, and this time Conor Gallagher found the goal. Before the break, Noni Madueke increased the score and it was 3-0 for the hosts. Thus, the local team knocked out the guests’ dreams of gaining even a point at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea’s dominance continued in the second half. Nicolas Jackson scored two goals. Alphonse Areola was disappointed as he had to remove the ball from the goal five times. Despite this, he was still one of West Ham’s best players. If it weren’t for him, the result could have been much higher.
