Premature Quadruplets Born in Tallinn’s Central Hospital Under Close Medical Supervision

Three boys and one girl were born on Thursday afternoon and are currently under close medical supervision.

The premature babies weighed between 1.4 and 1.87 kilograms, and doctors rate their health indicators as good.

The children’s parents, Irina and Grigory, live in Tallinn. There were two children in the family until now. The parents of four admit that the names of three children have been thought up, but the name of one boy has yet to be chosen.

The first quadruplets of this century in Estonia were born in July 2017 also in the Central Hospital of East Tallinn. Before that, the birth of four children in one birth in Estonia was registered in 1992.

The parents of the quadruplets born on June 1 have contacted the parents of the almost six-year-old Lore, Louise, Lena and Lagle and received their support.

Last year, 3,293 babies, including 58 pairs of twins, were born in East Tallinn Hospital.
