Twelve premature babies are bringing joy and hope as the stars of the annual charity calendar for the Department of Neonatology at UMBAL burgas in Bulgaria. After a two-year pause, the calendar is back with a larger print run, showcasing the resilience and strength of these tiny fighters.
The calendar features nine boys and three girls, each a “little miracle” who has overcome the challenges of premature birth. these children,now thriving and developing normally,represent the dedication and expertise of the neonatal team at UMBAL Burgas.

“Traditionally,in this calendar,we collect our most serious patients. We show the whole society what medical science is capable of today, we show the result of our efforts and the trust of parents. We remember each of the children in our calendars,and for us ther is no greater reward than watching them grow up,healthy and happy,” said Dr. Stiliyana Tomova, head of the Department of Neonatology at UMBAL Burgas.
Funds raised from the sale of the calendar will be used to purchase a new phototherapy lamp, a vital tool in treating neonatal jaundice. Beyond the practical benefits, the calendar aims to inspire hope and courage in parents of premature babies, demonstrating that even the smallest fighters can overcome amazing odds.
The calendar is available for purchase at a price of BGN 25. Parents of the child models are actively involved in distributing the calendar,spreading awareness and support for the cause.
