In the election result in Dresden, the AfD is currently well ahead of the CDU.
Dresden – Dresden voted. According to the preliminary election result of the Bundestag election for the state capital, the AfD, SPD, CDU and Greens are in the top positions.

The front runner in the second vote is the AfD with 18.5 percent of the votes. (As of 11.35 p.m.). The SPD follows in second place with 17.6 percent of the vote. The Greens also did well, with 15.9 percent of the vote.
The Christian Democratic Union received 14.6 percent of the vote.
FDP (12.2 percent) and the Left (10.8 percent) come in second after 563 of 563 areas have been counted.

In the constituency 159 – Dresden I is Dr. Markus Alexander Reichel was ahead with 21.1 percent of the vote.
In constituency 160 – Dresden II – Bautzen II, Andreas Harlaß (AfD) and Lars Rohwer (CDU) both collected 18.6 percent of the vote. However, according to the preliminary result, the CDU candidate achieved 41 more votes and is therefore considered the winner.
