Pregnant Women Eligible for Maternal Influenza Vaccination: Important Information and Referral Details

From October 15, women who are pregnant for 22 weeks or more may receive the maternal influenza vaccination. The vaccination campaign runs until March 1.
The information and referral in this regard must be provided by the obstetric care provider (VZ). The pregnant woman makes an appointment with the JGZ for a vaccination. The JGZ vaccinates and registers the vaccination administration. In terms of implementation, training and communication, this is as close as possible to the maternal pertussis vaccination. The RIVM, Center for Population Screening, sends an information package to each clinic by post. For more information, see the National Immunization Program: > and/or click on the letter belonging to the information package that each clinic receives.
