A 40-year-old woman was shot and killed on Thursday February 23 in front of her mobile home. This is where she lived, in an isolated field with her husband and two children, in the small town of Chênex, in the French Genevois, in Haute-Savoie. “The initial findings and the elements brought to the attention of the gendarmes, who were the first on the spot, made it possible to establish that the victim, alerted by a suspicious noise coming from outside, left his home, followed by her husband […] while she was in front of the door, the victim was fatally hit by gunfire,” explained Bruno Badré, public prosecutor of Thonon-les-Bains, cited by France Blue. An investigation was opened for murder. No hypothesis is ruled out. The suspect(s) are being sought.
