NEW YORK – A pregnant woman lost her life during her Baby Shower in Harlem, during the early hours of Sunday, and everything would have been after a fight between his partner and his ex, according to police sources.
The New York City Police said officers responded to the scene, located in West 128th Street and Frederick Douglass Boulevardm around 1:15 am on Sunday, after receiving reports of a woman who was shot.
Upon arrival, authorities said, they found the expectant mother outside a residential building in West 128th Street with a gunshot wound to the head. The victim was identified as 31-year-old Shanice Young.
Police sources point out that the victim’s ex-partner allegedly drew a gun during the fight and shot the woman in the head. No other injuries were reported.
No arrests have been released so far and authorities are investigating what happened.
