Prefect of Hérault Takes Action Against anti-Police Banner in Montpellier

The prefect of Hérault, Hugues Moutouh, recently removed a banner inciting hatred of the police in the city of Montpellier.

The banner bore the inscription “Acab” (“All cops are bastards”, “All the cops are bastards”) and had been hung on a balcony, opposite the prefecture. The Hérault firefighters were called to deploy their large ladder to remove the banner.

The prefect announced the news on Twitter, stating that zero tolerance would be required for hate messages against law enforcement.

As related 20 Minutesa complaint has been filed, and an investigation has been opened to identify the authors of this banner.
