The prefect of Brindisi, Luigi Carnevale, said this in his first press conference after his appointment on 26 March, in reference to the organization of the G7. The main venue of the world event, from 13th to 15th June, will be Borgo Egnazia, in Fasano, in the province of Brindisi. “Already before going down to Brindisi I had a meeting with friends from the US embassy, ​​with the ambassador’s security advisor. We are in the phase in which – added the prefect – from the planning phase we will put on the ground the exact numbers of both staff who will ensure safety, but also of the delegations.
