There are ecumenical prayers for peace in Darmstadt every Monday evening on the Kapellplatz. Prayers for peace in Ukraine.

The Protestant and Catholic Deanery of Darmstadt and the Working Group of Christian Churches invite you to a prayer for peace this Monday, February 28, at 6 p.m. on the square in front of the ruins of the town chapel that was destroyed in World War II. The intention is to pray for peace in Ukraine. At the central Darmstadt memorial for the victims of the Second World War and National Socialist terror on the Kapellplatz, there will be vigils in ecumenical solidarity and prayer for peace every Monday evening, according to an announcement by the two deaneries. The peace prayers will begin at 6 p.m. each day.

A World Day of Prayer service will begin on Friday at 6 p.m. in the Pauluskirche, Niebergallweg 20, under the motto “Plan for the future: Hope!” The church is open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Other ecumenical services are celebrated in the Elisabeth Church, the Arheilger Auferstehungskirche, the Church of St. Josef in Eberstadt, the Heilig-Kreuz-Kirche in the Heimstättensiedlung, the Ecumenical Community Center in Kranichstein and the Evangelical Church in Wixhausen.
