Praveen / Melati happy to advance to the finals Thailand Open 2021. Moreover Praveen Jordan / Melati Daeva Oktavianti also successful revans over the French couple.
Praveen / Melati only needs two games to close their tie against Thom Gicquel / Delphine Delrue. They won 21-16, 23-21 in 46 minutes.
It was different when they met at the Indonesia Masters 2020. At that time Praveen / Melati had to be defeated after going through three games 19-21, 21-14, 18-21.
“We feel the French pair played well today, they have a difficult pattern,” Praveen said in a PBSI release.
“We really want revans after the defeat at the Indonesia Masters last year. We know we can. Our preparation is good and we are enjoying it,” he added.
In the final of Thailand Open 2021 mixed doubles, Praveen / Melati will face the Thai pair, Dechapol Puavaranukroh / Sapsiree Taerattanachai who escaped after beating the South Korean pair.
“(This victory makes) us have the motivation for tomorrow,” said Praveen.
The same thing was expressed by Melati. He was grateful for the success of advancing to the final, but did not want to be too overbearing with these results.
“Alhamdulillah, we can step up to the final, but our job is not finished. Now we want to focus on recovery and then preparations for tomorrow,” said Melati.
