Praveen Jordan Story of the Indonesian Team Expelled from All England

Jakarta

Double mix Praveen Jordan very disappointed after being forced to walk out by the organizing committee All England 2021. He then explained the beginning of the event.

In his official Instagram account, @jordan_praveen explains in detail what happened to him and the Indonesian badminton team.

“My fellow athletes and I expressed disappointment and concern over the injustice received by the Indonesian team. With this opportunity, I would like to provide a chronology of what the Indonesian team experienced,” Praveen wrote.

“First, all Indonesian teams leaving for Birmingham to participate in the All England 2021 have already administered 2 vaccines. Second, all Indonesian teams have followed health protocols and have conducted PCR H-1 Swabs prior to our departure for Birmingham.”

“After we arrived at the Crowne Plaza Birmingham City Center Hotel, all Indonesian teams had also followed the rules from BWF to conduct PCR Swabs. Before All England started, there were several teams from other countries who got positive results from the initial PCR Swabs,” he said.

“However, after retesting and getting negative results, they are allowed to participate in the competition.”

“On the first day (17 March 2021), when some Indonesian players were playing / were playing games and some were still waiting for the match. We received this news, the Indonesian team (medical, physiotherapist, and several athletes who were cooling down) were forced to leave. the arena to return to the hotel without using the access provided, “he said.

“As is known from the news circulating that during the flight of the Indonesian team from Istanbul to Birmingham, one of the passengers contracted COVID-19. There was a team from Turkey who was on the same plane with us, but the player could still follow the match,” he said.

Apart from exposing the chronology, Praveen Jordan also sent five questions to the Badminton World Federation (BWF), as a form of disappointment over the injustice to the Indonesian badminton team.

He tagged the @ bwf.official account to answer all questions.

“Have all teams from other countries also vaccinated like the Indonesian team,” asked Praveen.

“Are the results of the PCR swab in Indonesia less reliable? The Indonesian team has followed all the rules that have been applied and we all get negative results. There are several teams from other countries who were initially positive and in less than 24 hours were declared negative. They were also immediately allowed to follow. matches. Even the BWF is also still postponing the match from the predetermined schedule in order to wait for the results. Can the results obtained be 100 percent accurate? “

“In my opinion, the BWF has violated the rules they have made themselves. When this news emerged, the Indonesian team who were in the arena were forced out of the arena to return to the hotel on foot,”

“Should all teams participating in the All England 2021 not be allowed to leave the hotel area if they do not use the provided access (buses). By being told to walk from the arena back to the hotel, does that not mean leaving the hotel area?”

“I see the injustice that has been done by BWF to the Indonesian team. BWF has not provided a detailed explanation to us about who is a positive person and where they come from.”

“Incidentally we are also on the same plane with athletes from Turkey but he is still allowed to participate in the competition. What is the difference between the Indonesian team and the Turkish team?”

“This may not happen if @bwf.official implements the bubble system before All England 2021 is held,” Praveen asserted.
