Pramono Anung, Sponsor Mega-Minister Jokowi Cagub Jakarta from PDIP

Pramono Anung was appointed by PDIP as the governor of DKI Jakarta in Regional elections 2024. Pramono has always been known as a confidant of the General Chairman PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri.

The owner’s full name is Pramono Anung Wibowo He was born in Kediri Town, 11 June 1963. He is the third of seven children of R. Kasbe Prajitna and Sumarni.

He received his undergraduate education at Mining Engineering, Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) in 1982-1988. With the knowledge capital of IUI, it is involved in the mining, oil and gas (oil and gas) sectors.

Young Pramono had a career at PT Tanito Harum (1988-1996), PT Vietmindo Energitama (1988-1996), PT Yudistira Haka Perkasa (1995-1999), and PT Yudhistira Haka Perkasa (1999).

Pramono also studied masters in management at Gadjah Mada University (1990-1992) and political communication at Padjadjaran University (2010-2013).

While doing business, Pramono entered politics at the beginning of the reformation. He joined PDI Perjuangan in 1998.

It didn’t take long for Pramono to sit in the highest ranks of the bull party. In 2000, he was appointed deputy general secretary. He held this position for five years.

In 2005, PDIP General Chairman Megawati Soekarnoputri elected him as PDIP General Secretary. He also played an active role in the successful team of Megawati and Prabowo Subianto in the 2009 presidential election.

Pramono also had a career in parliament. In the period 2009-2014, he was elected as a member of the DPR RI. He was also the vice president of the DPR.

In the 2014 election, PDIP became the champion. The red-black party also succeeded in winning their group, Joko Widodo (Jokowi) as president.

Jokowi chose Pramono as Cabinet Secretary. Jokowi also did this after winning the 2019 presidential election Pramono was Cabinet Secretary for 10 years.

Pramono is one of the politicians who is able to stand in the middle of the axis of Jokowi and Megawati. He still shows loyalty to Megawati even though he has the status of a palace official.

When news of Megawati’s and Jokowi’s split emerged to the public during the 2024 presidential election, it continued to show the closeness of the two figures.

On Monday (26/8), PDIP canceled the nomination of Anies Baswedan as a candidate for DKI Jakarta governor. Mega finally decided to have a Pramono duet with Rano Karno, who is also a PDIP group.
