ALSFELD (above). There were numerous awards, new elections and a review of the last two years at the annual general meeting of the Alsfeld fire brigade musicians of the show and brass band. Now there is a young board with Simeon Reibeling at the helm.
In early December, the show and brass band members of the volunteer fire brigade of the city of Alsfeld met for their annual general meeting in the training room of the fire station. About 45 people accepted the invitation of the Board of Directors led by Andrea Habermann.
The first president Andrea Habermann took stock of the previous year during the meeting. The annual report of the show and brass band of the volunteer fire brigade of the city of Alsfeld eV for the calendar year 2021 is also slightly different than in the years before Corona. From 14 May 2021, regular rehearsal sessions have returned and performances have also been carried out, but it was not yet possible to speak of normality. Apart from the hygiene rules to be respected, many events have been postponed or even cancelled.
Club members were internally serenaded at weddings and milestone birthdays. At the end of 2021, you could still take part in three Royal Music Shows in Halle, Krefeld and Frankfurt under strict hygiene requirements.
Manageable 2022 appointment calendar
The schedule for 2022 was manageable. But with the preparation of the show “Der Hohe Tag” on the weekend of the 800th anniversary festival of the city of Alsfeld, the musicians were busy beyond the normal rehearsal hours. However, from the middle of the year one could still take part in interesting shows such as the “largest fair on the Rhine”, the musical performances on the Loreley, at Kaltenberg Castle, the Tattoo of the Line Guard and the Festival of the Line Minstrels in Flieden.
Welcome words sent by military leaders and 1st deputy. Fire Inspector Carsten Schmidt. He thanked them for their good and constructive cooperation, as well as for their mutual support and appreciation.
Numerous honours
During the meeting, numerous members were again awarded for their long membership in the association. Eckhard Gies received the club’s bronze pin for 10 years of membership as a supporting member.
Ellen Welker, Lara Sophie Weigel, Lea Hamel, Sarah Kuhla and André Reinsch were awarded the club’s silver pin for ten years of active membership. Silver was awarded for 15 years of membership as support members Andrea Gimpel, Ingrid Günther, Martina Kross and Ewald Gimpel. Martin Giese, Heidrun Stark and Kurt-Wilhelm Nau received the club’s gold pin with a certificate for 30 years of membership as a sustaining member. Markus Pfeil for 40 years of active membership and Rolf Heddrich for 50 years of membership also received the golden club pin with year and certificate
Reinhard Gonther, Mario Euler, Fabian Stumpf, Patrick and André Reinsch received a voucher for their involvement in youth education.
Simeon Reibeling is elected president and Patrick Reinsch is elected deputy
Regular elections were held. Music director Alexander Reinsch, treasurer Ulrike Peter-Schenk, secretary Carolin Rehm and press officer Beate Reinsch were re-elected. Youth guard Verena Liehr made her position available, Torsten Bock followed her to the board.
A turning point in this year’s election was the election of the first president Andrea Habermann, who had held this position since 2018 and had already rendered outstanding services to the board of directors of the association as second president. You have tendered your resignation from the Board of Directors. She was succeeded by 22-year-old Simeon Reibeling, who had already gained extensive experience as second president. I
In a by-election, 23-year-old Patrick Reinsch was also elected second president. With 26-year-old Alexander Reinsch on the board, the association is therefore very young. This is no longer a matter of course these days and sets the stage for further positive development in the work of the association.
Simeon Reibeling, as the first newly elected president of the show and brass band, took the opportunity to thank Andrea Habermann and Verena Liehr for their many years of work on the board. Both voluntarily resign from the board of directors. Reibeling thanked both of them for the many years of good and constructive cooperation as well as for the high level of internal commitment in their respective positions and offices. He gives them both a bouquet of flowers and a present for Andrea Habermann.
