My Homeland by Bedřich Smetana, performed by the Berlin Philharmonic under the baton of chief conductor Kirill Petrenko, will open the 79th Prague Spring in the Municipal House today. Festival organizers in front of Rudolfinum today Prague spring will open an interactive installation called Cech is a musician. In the morning, a traditional memorial service takes place at Smetana’s grave in Slavín. From May 13, concertgoers in the Municipal House and the Rudolfinum have the opportunity to see the Prague Spring Art Salon, a new accompanying program of the festival, for which Czech visual artists have developed a theme My Country.
