The Prague gunman who shot 14 people dead at a university and injured 25 more people last week before killing himself, f confessed in his death letter to the murder of a young man and his babywhile they were on a walk on the outskirts of the capital, DPA reported, citing a police spokesman.
In the letter, the assailant confessed to the double murder without giving any motive. The letter was found during a search of the attacker’s house in Hostun, west of Prague, where he lived with his father.
So far, the police have refused to publish the contents of the letter. The investigation on the case continues.
A ballistics examination of a weapon found in the man’s home indicated that it may be linked to the double murder of the father and baby in a wooded area outside Prague.
These murders shocked Czech society.
According to the evidence available to the police, The 24-year-old assailant also killed his father just before carrying out the mass shooting in the central building of the Faculty of Philosophy of Charles University in the center of Prague. The young man had amassed an arsenal of weapons legally without the authorities suspecting a thing.
