Prague called on the organizers to postpone events and reduce clustering

“The crisis staff is asking the organizers of large events in public space to refrain from organizing any event that could contribute to the further spread of covid-19. At the same time, it warns market organizers in Prague to strictly comply with government regulations, otherwise they are exposed to the threat of administrative proceedings and the imposition of sanctions, “said Vít Hofman, a spokesman for the Prague City Hall.

According to Mayor Zdeněk Hřib (Pirates), the biggest problem in the capital is the announced mass events. The crisis staff therefore called on the organizers to abandon them. “So these are also various demonstrations that are planned in Prague,” said Hřib. The number of people should not exceed 100 people. According to Hřib, restrictions will be issued by the municipality for events with a higher number of reported ones.

The mushroom also appealed to the market organizers. “If there could be an accumulation of people in one place, the organizer is responsible for compliance with the regulations. If they are not complied with, the organizer is exposed to possible sanctions by the municipality. I would like to appeal to everyone to keep the three R’s, ie hands, veils and spacing, “he said.

Today, the crisis staff also recommended construction work at the fire brigade station in Strašnice, where a decontamination line will be located. The staff also agreed to the increased readiness of units of the Prague volunteer fire brigades.
