Prada’s 2023 autumn and winter men’s collection Lookbook was officially released. This season, it was jointly designed by designers Raf Simons and Miuccia Prada, showing their understanding of the brand’s classic appearance and futurism through clothing.
Raf Simons said: “This series is related to prototype clothing. Recognizable things are changed through layout and tailoring, and their language forms are changed. Such changes also exist in Prada’s DNA. We embed Prada’s logo in the clothes. It not only reflects the heritage and history of the brand, but also what the brand means now.”
Miuccia Prada added: “We always talk about reality, as designers we are very aware of what is going on, the problems and the difficulties, and we react to that, wanting to create something useful for people and express reality through clothes. Ideas, creating meaningful fashion, this is the value of fashion today.”
The Prada DNA runs through the collection this season, with each piece featuring refined, clean tailoring in pops of color and Simons’ signature clean, masculine style, which is reflected in the design of the brushed leather sneaker, crafted from cycling fabric, Made of suede material, there are three colors of black, light yellow, pomegranate, peony pink and dark green. Each pair of shoes is very “Raf” and full of Prada’s sensibility and restraint.
For clothing, there are mohair wool coats and cashmere cardigans with colorful printed collars; sand and green dress coats, stretch natté pants and wool cashmere cardigans in pastel shades are also available in the same technology and material. In addition, Prada’s 2023 autumn and winter padded vests show futuristic elements, while suede coats and tunic tops echo Rafism.
