Practical Recipe for Warm Ginger Wedang on a Rainy Day

Several roads in Jakarta and its surroundings were flooded because of this rain that went down for several hours. Some days, it rains heavily and makes the weather cold.

This weather change often makes the body’s immunity decrease. Spices or wedang drinks are indeed the right choice to warm the body and also maintain health. Wedang ginger can be a recipe for a drink that is healthy and warms the body.

Here’s a ginger recipe that is easy to make at home


Material:

1 liter of water
4 large pieces of ginger, peeled and crushed (Adjust to the level of spiciness of ginger you want. If you want stronger ginger you can add it, if you want something softer you can reduce it)
2 pieces of brown sugar
Sugar to taste (optional, if not sweet enough)

How to make:

1. Prepare the water in a pan then put the ginger that has been crushed.
2. Add brown sugar and sugar according to taste. Bring to a boil and make sure the brown sugar has dissolved all.
3. Reduce the heat then let it simmer for a while so that the flavor is stronger.
4. Cover the pot for a few moments. Turn off the fire.
5. Serve ginger while warm. You can also add sweetened condensed milk to make the ginger drink into ginger milk.
