Prabowo’s words about China when meeting Xi Jinping

President Prabowo Subianto to meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping. Prabowo offered several suggestions to China when he met with Xi Jinping.

Reported by Antara, Sunday (10/11/2024), Prabowo met with Xi Jinping at the Great Hall of the People, Beijing, China, Saturday afternoon (9/11). During the meeting, Prabowo cited China as an example of a great power and great civilization.

“Indonesia considers China not only as a superpower, but also as a great civilization,” Prabowo said in a bilateral meeting with Xi.

Prabowo emphasized that Indonesia and China in the current geo-political and geo-economic situation have become very close partners in many fields.

“We have lived together for centuries because our cultures and societies have been intertwined for many years,” he said.

Prabowo also reaffirmed Indonesia’s commitment to developing relations with China and working together for regional interests, prosperity, peace and stability.

“That is my promise. I am sure that the relationship between Indonesia and China will bring an atmosphere that is helpful to the strategic situation in Asia and especially in our region,” said Prabowo.

Prabowo says thanks to Xi Jinping

At that time, Prabowo also expressed his gratitude to Xi Jinping who received the Indonesian delegation on Saturday night.

“I understand that it is Saturday evening, but President Xi still received me with a state ceremony,” said Prabowo.

“Thank you very much. I also thank you for accepting me in April before I was officially installed as President-elect, but you have accepted me,” he said.
