“President Prabowo has ordered the Ministry of Industry, the Ministry of Finance, the Minister of BUMN and the Minister of Personnel to immediately study several options and schemes to save Sritex,” Agus said in a written statement, which was announced Sunday (27/10/2024).

Sritex said that the number of employees in the Sritex group reached 50,000 people. Then there are 14,112 employees who will be directly affected by this decision.

In this decision, Sritex and three of its subsidiaries, PT Sinar Pantja Djaja, PT Bitratex Industries, and PT Primayudha Mandirijaya were declared bankrupt by the Semarang District Court.

“We respect the legal decision, and we responded quickly by making consolidation and internal consolidation with relevant stakeholders. Today we have filed a claim to this case resolve properly and ensure that stakeholders’ interests are met,” management said.

The Director General of Industrial Relations Development and Social Security for Workers (PHI and Jamsos) of the Ministry of Manpower, Indah Anggoro Putri, has revealed that the Ministry of Manpower has asked PT Sritex and its subsidiaries declared bankrupt in credit with the Commercial Court. not in a hurry to lay off their staff, until a unanimous decision or from the Supreme Court.
