Prabowo’s eligibility strengthens, Anies Memble

Jakarta, CNN Indonesia

Indostrategi Research and Consulting revealed that the level of eligibility of the Minister of Defense Prabowo Subianto it still outperforms its two closest competitors, the Governor of Central Java Pranow Award and Anies Baswedan.

This is known from the results of the Indostrategy survey conducted from October 27 to November 5, 2022. The survey uses a multistage random sampling method with 1,230 respondents and a margin of error of approximately 2.83% and a confidence level of 95%.

“The poll shows that Prabowo still surpassed the eligibility of presidential candidates with 31.8 percent,” Indostrategi Research and Consulting Executive Director Arif Nurul Imam said in his online presentation on Monday (7/11).

Arif explained that in the results of this survey, Prabowo’s eligibility level showed an increasing trend.

According to Arif, the increase in Prabowo’s level of eligibility cannot be separated from the attitude of Indonesian president Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who has expressed his support for the general president of the Gerindra party.

“Support for Prabowo is growing closer and closer to getting his vote in the 2019 election. Also, at the latest Indodefense 2022 event, Jokowi expressed his support for Prabowo,” Arif explained.

“And often meeting and discussing has a positive effect on Prabowo’s election,” he added.

Meanwhile, Ganjar’s eligibility rate in the survey results was 20.5%. According to Arif, the number of statements of support for Ganjar did not have a significant effect on his eligibility.

According to Arif, this is due to Ganjar’s unclear position. It is known that until now even the PDIP, as the party that oversees Ganjar, has not taken a position on the figure that will lead to the presidential elections of 2024 thereafter.

On the other hand, Indostrategy’s survey results show that Anies’ eligibility rate in October 2022 tends to decline. Arif said Anies’ eligibility decreased from 14.9% to 13.2%.

“It appears that the appointment of Anies by NasDem and it is not clear which candidate for the presidency of the political party has the same effect as Ganjar,” he said.

People are not convinced that the PDIP will name Ganjar

The results of the Indostrategi poll also revealed that the majority of the public or around 70.8% were unsure whether the PDIP would nominate Ganjar as a presidential candidate.

According to Arif, this cannot be separated from the position of Ganjar, who is not part of the elite party that bears the symbol of the bull. Meanwhile, on the other hand, the name Puan Maharani also often appears as one of the names expected to be carried by the PDIP.

Puan also has an important position, starting with the President of the PDIP DPP, the President of the DPR RI, and is the daughter of the General President of the PDIP Megawati Soekarnoputri.

“A total of 70.8% said they were not sure that the PDIP would nominate Ganjar. Meanwhile, only 26.7% believed that the PDIP would be nominated,” Arif said.

“This is certainly a public perception, regardless of whether he was nominated or not, it is the authority of the party officials, especially the president of the PDIP, Ms. Megawati. However, the public is not so sure that Ganjar will be proposed. from PDIP, “he said.

On the other hand, as many as 36.4 percent of respondents said they were unsure whether Anies would get a ticket from a political party or a combination of political parties as a condition for running for presidential candidate.

It is known that Anies was only promoted by the NasDem Party. However, the acquisition of NasDem’s vote was still below the presidential threshold requirement or the presidential nomination threshold of 20-25%.

NasDem still needs other parties to form a coalition to bring Anies. So far, only PKS and Democrats are expected to form a coalition with NasDem.

Meanwhile, the Public Voting Circle (LSP) released the results of a poll showing that the general president of Gerindra Prabowo Subianto had the highest eligibility as a presidential candidate with a 31.8% gain.

Meanwhile, the second and third positions have been occupied by Central Java Governor Ganjar Pranowo and DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan.

“This poll confirms that Prabowo’s eligibility is still in first place with 31.8 percent, followed by Ganjar with 20.4 percent and Anies with 11.7 percent,” said Indra Nuryadin, director of the research and studies of LSP (15/10).
