A Toyota Alphard car accompanied presidential candidate (bacapres) Prabowo Subianto’s trip this morning before registering with the KPU. Before registering with the KPU, Prabowo first stopped at the residence of Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY) in Cikeas, Bogor.
“So he actually told us that he would go to Cikeas for a moment just to be respectful, excuse me, come back here and we will go to Senayan together,” said PBB General Chair (Ketum) Yusril Ihza Mahendra at Prabowo’s residence, on Jalan Kertanegara , South Jakarta, Wednesday (25/10/2023).
From the Minister of Defense’s official residence to SBY’s residence and to Kertanegara his private home, Prabowo used a white Toyota Alphard. This Toyota Alphard with number plate B 108 PSD is often used by Prabowo as his daily car.
It is known from the website of the Regional Tax and Retribution Agency of the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government regarding Information on Vehicle Data and Motor Vehicle Tax, that the Alphard car with plate number B 108 PSD that Prabowo was driving was an Alphard released in 2018.
The metallic white car that Prabowo often rode in was the highest type of all the Alphard variants offered by Toyota in Indonesia at that time, namely the Alphard 3.5 Q AT. Currently, the Toyota Alphard 3.5 Q AT is no longer sold in the latest version. Now, Toyota only sells the Alphard with a 2,500 cc petrol engine and a 2,500 cc hybrid engine.
When it was sold in its new version, the 2018 Toyota Alphard 3.5 Q AT was sold for IDR 1 billion. Now, in used condition, the market price for the car starts from IDR 900 million.
The Toyota Alphard Q variant, like Prabowo’s, is equipped with a V6 technology engine with VVT-i and uses an 8 AT transmission. Apart from saving fuel, this technology is also claimed to be more environmentally friendly.
Thanks to a 3,500 cc 6-cylinder engine and 8-speed automatic transmission, Prabowo’s Toyota Alphard has a maximum power of 296 hp at 6,000 rpm with a maximum torque of 361 Nm at 4,100 rpm. To support fuel consumption performance, specifically the 3.5 Q variant, it now uses auto idling technology.
The luxury of the Toyota Alphard radiates from its exterior. The headlamps, hood molding, bumper, grille and foglamp bezel make the appearance attract attention. At the stern, the rear lights and door garnish highlight the high-end vehicle. Plus the 18 inch alloy wheels are quite luxurious.
The cabin is no less luxurious. The odometer display exudes the color of luxury and advance, and the seats are covered in leather with a captain’s seat. To provide more comfort, the chair back is a feature that provides better lumbar support.
For the interior, the Alphard 3.5 Q variant is dominated by black, complemented by brown olive ash brull woodgrain accents. An additional feature is the Blind Spot Monitor which functions to make things easier for the driver by increasing the field of view, especially in the blind spot.
