Presidential candidate number 2 Prabowo Subianto said he supports strengthening the State Administrators’ Wealth Report (LHKPN) to eradicate corruption. Prabowo also wants reverse evidence to be applied in law enforcement regarding corruption cases.
“I say, we are trying. We are trying efforts to speed up the mitigation, including if necessary, reverse proof. We also need to think about this so we can implement it and also be firm in taking action. I think that is it,” said Prabowo after the PAKU Integrity event at the Building. KPK, South Jakarta (Jaksel), Wednesday (17/1/2024).
For information, reverse proof is the burden of proof given to a defendant in a corruption case. In criminal cases, the burden of proof is usually on the prosecutor as the public prosecutor.
Returning to Prabowo’s presentation, he said reverse proof was needed so that eradicating corruption did not have to wait for complaints. He said officials must be transparent.
“If we need reverse proof, we don’t need to wait for a complaint to be made, but an official who wants to hold an important position must be transparent and can be seen,” said Prabowo.
Prabowo supports strengthening LHKPN. He also encouraged state officials to be sanctioned if they were not honest about their LHKPN.
“Because of that, I support LHKPN to be enforced and given sanctions when it is dishonest. All wealth must be reported,” he continued.
