Pair of presidential and vice presidential candidates number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka continue to work from the office on the second day of the campaign 2024 presidential election.
Deputy Commander of Bravo TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Herzaky Mahendra Putra, said that Prabowo was carrying out his duties as Minister of Defense (Menhan) today.
“Still carrying out his duties as Minister of Defense,” said Herzaky, Wednesday (29/11).
Head of Public Relations of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, Brigadier General Edwin Adrian Sumantha, said that one of Prabowo’s agenda today was to take part in activities with other ministers led by President Jokowi at the State Palace.
“Submission of the Budget Implementation List (DIPA) and the FY 2024 Transfer Allocation List Book (TKD) by the President of the Republic of Indonesia,” said Edwin when asked about the agenda at the Palace.
Meanwhile, another Deputy Commander of Bravo TKN Prabowo-Gibran, Cheryl Tanzil, also said that Gibran was still carrying out his duties as Mayor of Solo on the second day of the campaign.
“Normal work on weekdays for Mas Gibran,” said Cheryl.
Previously, on the first day of the campaign last Tuesday (28/11), the pair were still working and carrying out their duties as Minister of Defense and Mayor. Last Tuesday, Prabowo also had a meeting with President Jokowi at the Bogor Palace.
TKN Secretary Nusron Wahid previously said that Prabowo and Gibran would only take leave a maximum of twice a week during the 2024 presidential election campaign period.
“He has decided that he will continue to be Minister of Defense and mayor and will only take leave a week or two, maximum,” said Nusron in a press conference at the TKN Media Center, South Jakarta, Tuesday.
There are three pairs of candidates who will compete in the 2024 presidential election. They are Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar number 1, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka number 2, and Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD number 3.
The KPU has set a campaign period from 28 November 2023 to 10 February 2024. Then, the voting schedule is on 14 February 2024.
