FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Prospective Presidential Candidate from the Advanced Indonesia Coalition (KIM) Prabowo Subianto emphasized that he would continue President Joko Widodo’s work program if elected president in the 2024 general election (election).
“The direction (Jokowi’s policy) is right, don’t hesitate, don’t be wishy-washy, you have to be firm. I am firm, I will continue Pak Jokowi’s program. I firmly say that,” said Prabowo when delivering his remarks in the Declaration of Support for State Volunteers for Prabowo- Gibran at Djakarta Theater, Jakarta, Saturday.
He assessed that Jokowi’s work program and policies have become the foundation for Indonesia to become a developed country by 2045.
“I really believe that we must continue everything (Jokowi) does, and we must perfect it, and we must add to it if necessary,” he said.
One of Jokowi’s policies that will be continued is the downstreaming of natural resources (SDA).
“So, this downstream concept is one of the strategic policies that determines whether we continue like this, move forward, but don’t jump. We want to jump to become a prosperous country,” said Prabowo.
If elected as president in 2024, with a policy of downstreaming natural resources, Prabowo wants to see Indonesian people using domestically produced motorbikes and cars, and no longer paying the regional minimum wage (UMR).
Prabowo targets Indonesia’s per capita income to reach 30 thousand US dollars per year by 2045 so that Indonesia can enter the developed country category.
On the same occasion, Deputy Chair of the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Bahlil Lahadalia, said Prabowo Subianto was a presidential candidate who often talked about downstreaming natural resources.
