Jakarta –
Secretary of the National Campaign Team (TKN) Prabowo Gibran Nusron Wahid responded to the Secretary General of PDI Perjuangan Hasto Kristiyanto regarding the question which stated that there was pressure on the Regent of Gresik Fandi Akhmad Yani (Gus Yani) to attend the Prabowo-Gibran declaration event.
Nusron said that what Hasto said was the opposite of the actual facts.
“In fact, the opposite is true, Gus Yani wants to be pressured to join PDIP. Even though from the start, Gus Yani’s commitment was to Golkar,” stressed Nusron, in a written statement, Monday (5/2/2024).
Nusron explained that since running for regional elections, Gresik Regent Fandi Akhmad Yani has been supported by Golkar and PDIP.
“The Regent of Golkar, his deputy is PDIP. So if he supports Prabowo-Gibran, that’s right,” explained Nusron.
Nusron even heard that there were efforts to pressure Gus Yani to join PDIP.
“Indeed, I heard that at that time, when we went on the Hajj together, he (Gus Yani) was pressured to join the PDIP. Could it be that Mas Hasto was the one who pressured him?” Nusron asked.
According to Nusron, Hasto should not carelessly accuse him of pressure.
“Like this incident, the pressure is on who is accusing whom. It seems like Mas Hasto is talking to himself,” said Nusron.
Previously, PDIP Secretary General Hasto said that Gus Yani’s presence in Prabowo-Gibran’s visit and declaration was correlated with pressure.
“This correlates with pressure. So he is under pressure, because his brother is from Sidoarjo,” said Hasto at the PDIP Menteng DPP, Central Jakarta, Monday (5/2).
