PPP and PDIP to Hold Meeting on 2024 Presidential Election Decision

Chairman of the Election Winning Body (Bappilu) United Development Party (PPP) Sandiaga Uno said his party would soon hold a meeting with PDIP regarding the 2024 presidential election.

It is known, the PPP and PDIP coalitions have not yet determined the candidate for vice president who will accompany the presidential candidate Ganjar Pranowo. Meanwhile, the registration period for 2024 presidential election participants will be opened in several weeks.

Sandiaga hopes that a decision will be made at a meeting in the near future, considering that it is less than 50 days before the 2024 presidential and vice presidential candidates are determined.

“But basically we are commit regarding the agreement and political cooperation with PDIP which carries Pak Ganjar Pranowo, we are waiting in the next few days the political party leaders will meet in a family atmosphere, hopefully entering the next stages,” said Sandiaga in East Belitung, Bangka Belitung, Saturday (2/9) in his written statement.

On that occasion, Sandiaga also appreciated Anies Baswedan who had declared PKB chairman Muhaimin Iskandar as a presidential candidate and vice presidential candidate for the 2024 presidential election.

According to him, the second declaration which was attended by the chairman of the NasDem Party, Surya Paloh, was part of the political dynamics ahead of the 2024 presidential election.

“Yes, like the contestation of democracy, we must welcome it with joy and full of joy, because we are democratic partners,” said the man who is also Menparekraf.

Meanwhile, regarding the steps and strategy of the PPP-PDIP coalition on the Anies-Cak Imin declaration, Sandiaga Uno revealed that his party was still focused on economic issues.

To this day, he still absorbs the aspirations of the people, which he admits are still focused on creating jobs and stability in food prices.

“As wise words, so we wait until the water calms down, everyone is still working on sustainable development, we at PPP focus on the green economy, an economy that creates jobs,” said Sandiaga.
