PEKANBARU – Preparations for the implementation of Level 4 Community Activity Restrictions (PPKM) in Pekanbaru City which will start on Monday (26/7/2021) tomorrow, a number of entrances to Pekanbaru are blocked.
The Head of the Pekanbaru Police, Kombes Pol Nandang Mukmin Wijaya, stated that according to the circular letter of the mayor of Pekanbaru, Number: 15/SE/SATGAS/2021, his party will conduct insulation at 5 access points into Pekanbaru City.
The five points of the Pekanbaru City entrance that will be blocked include Jalan Yos Sudarso Rumbai (confused intersection) access from Dumai-Pekanbaru.
Jalan KH Nasution Kubang, access from the direction of Taluk Kuantan to Pekanbaru. Jalan HR Soebrantas, access from Bangkinang enters Pekanbaru.
Then there is the East Cross Road at kilometer 22, access is from Pelalawan to Pekanbaru City, and finally there is Jalan Garuda Sakti, to be precise at kilometer 4, the entrance to Tapung is to Pekanbaru.
“In the city, it is dynamic in terms of location and time, if possible, it can be at 08.00-12.00 WIB, or 15.00-19.00 WIB. Seeing the congested conditions or not the flow of vehicle traffic or crowds of people,” said Pekanbaru Police Chief, Kombes Pol Nandang Mukmin Wijaya to GoRiau.com, Sunday (25/7/2021).
Separately, Head of the Pekanbaru Police Traffic Unit, AKP Angga Prihantoro said that the blocking at 5 entrances to Pekanbaru would be carried out for one full day.
