Jakarta –
President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) announce PPKM level 3-4 in Java and Bali extended to 2 August. During this extension, residents who take inter-city transportation will no longer need a Worker Registration Certificate (STRP).
This was explained directly by the spokesperson for the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) Adita Irawati. However, STRP is mandatory for motorists in and out of the agglomeration area.
“For inter-city/long-distance transportation, there is no need (STRP). But it is mandatory for agglomeration areas,” said Adita to detik.com, Monday (26/7/2021).
“The STRP at that time was set at SE Task Force number 15 to limit activities on the Eid al-Adha holiday. After that, we returned to SE 14, until there were new provisions,” said Adita.
Referring to SE Task Force No. 15/2021, the Ministry of Transportation has tightened the conditions for long-distance travel to and from the island of Java-Bali during the last Eid al-Adha. Regulations regarding STRP are listed in point 1 letter c. Here’s what it says:
b. For travelers who are excluded, they are required to show an STRP (Worker Registration Certificate) which can be accessed by workers from the leadership in the employment agency. Meanwhile, for the community, bring a certificate from the local government
However, SE Task Force number 15 is no longer valid, so now it refers to SE Task Force No. 14/202. This is how it sounds:
1. For long-distance trips and trips from or to Java and Bali must show a card that has been vaccinated (at least the first dose), RT PCR results 2×24 hours or antigen 1×24 hours
2. Tightening of mobility in Java and Bali is carried out by requiring travelers to have a vaccine certificate, 2×24 hour RT-PCR results, antigen test which is valid for a maximum of 1×24 hours for sea, land, crossing, and long-distance train modes.
