The number two candidate of the PP for Granada to the Andalusian Parliament, Jorge Saavedra, highlighted this Sunday “the commitment” to quality public education in the province by the Government of Juanma Moreno.
“An education that bets on the culture of effort and that leaves no one behind”, said the popular who reaffirms the commitment of the PP to continue defending the right of families to choose the type of educational center they want for their children from a “de-ideologized education”, he said in a statement.
Saavedra has valued “the defense and recovery of the prestige and authority of teachers carried out in this legislature” with the Law of Recognition of the Andalusian Teaching Authority and “the capacity for dialogue of Juanma Moreno, who has been able to reach historic agreements with the public unions and the agreement for equalizing the salary of Andalusian teachers and professors to the national average, as well as the expansion of the workforce that has allowed improving the student/teacher ratios “with the public workforce largest and most stable in history.

An agreement, to which he has referred, that contemplates the salary equalization of 130,000 Andalusian teachers and that responds to a historical claim of the teaching staff that will begin to be applied on September 1 of the next academic year until it is completed progressively in the academic year 24-25.
The popular has indicated how “education is and will continue to be” a priority area of action for Juanma Moreno with a differential boost to vocational training as a strategic line and has become, along with health and social policies, the budget item to which the Andalusian Government has allocated more funds, which has allowed an expansion of the structural public teaching staff; a greater offer of Vocational Training “like never before in Andalusia”; a 20% increase in special education teachers; as well as the digital transformation strategy carried out in public centers, making more than 100,000 laptops, 800 touch panels and 900 robotics kits available to them.
