PP-DB once again demonstrated that the transparency of the electoral process is rarely of primary importance to them. And that their only occupation is to look for reasons to attack the Minister of the Interior, Kalin Stoyanov, who reveals their schemes.
Their former minister of e-governance Bozhidar Bojanov made a scandalous statement on the occasion of a global scandal with a bribery scheme related to a company that participated in the elections in our country.
“Associated Press”, “CNN”, “New York Times” and a bunch of other world media reported yesterday that a federal jury in South Florida, USA, has indicted Roger Piñate, founder and president of the company “Smartmatic” for participating in scheme for $1 million in bribes and money laundering used to secure election contracts in the Philippines.
“Smartmatic” is the company that supplied “Siela” with the voting machines in Bulgaria.
This scandal puts a new huge black mark on the electoral machinery, but apparently it does not bother the former minister Bojanov.
We remind you that it was on his recommendation that Mihail Stoinov, who, according to a report by DANS, was filmed using his phone to take pictures of the generation of hash codes on the machines hours before the local elections in the autumn of last year, came to the ministry as a deputy minister.
“I see a speculation in connection with the news that executives of Smartmatic are on trial in the US for corruption in the Philippines. So the implication is: if they (possibly) paid bribes to sign a contract with Smartmatic, then the elections are compromised – both in the Philippines and here,” Bojanov wrote on the occasion of the international scandal with Smartmatic.
Something more. Turning a blind eye to the scandal, he used it as a new hint to Interior Minister Kalin Stoyanov’s work on election integrity, saying that “considering fluctuations in certain sections as a potentially bought or controlled vote, we arrive at certain numbers.”
What comes out – the deputy from DB does not admit that alleged bribes of “Smartmatic” compromised the elections, but he is convinced that Kalin Stoyanov and the Ministry of the Interior are involved with potential bought votes!
Bojanov’s double arshin speaks only for this – PP-DB shout about vote irregularities only when they get away with it. And they are desperately looking for a reason to attack the interior minister.
