PP-DB Deputy Stoyan Mihalev Affirms Party Will Not Support or Participate in GERB-SDS Government

PP-DB remains in its position that it will not support a government with the mandate of GERB-SDS, nor will it accept to participate together with another mandate holder. This was stated by PP-DB deputy Stoyan Mihalev in the studio of “The Day ON AIR”.

“With each subsequent election, it becomes more and more difficult. For certain centers of power, this is convenient – the president instigates these events, and the point of handing over the mandates and the terms that are established is to give an opportunity to govern. The role of the president is to be a unifier, not to attack the institutions in Bulgaria. He constantly attacks the National Assembly. How do you create a cabinet when the elections are not over yet and you convene the parliament in Holy Week?”, Mihalev commented to Bulgaria ON AIR.

According to the deputy, “Democratic Bulgaria” was already ready to form a government in the previous National Assembly, but Radev deliberately did not give them a mandate.

“All other options were fruitless, he deliberately did not give it to us. He was clearing his personal accounts inside the BSP”, Mihalev is convinced.

The PP-DB are preparing to get the second mandate soon, if the GERB-SDS fail to realize the first mandate.

“Radev is doing so as to bring our positions closer to our opponents. If anyone imagines that we are in this parliament to secure an indulgence for Borisov, that cannot be done,” the MP was categorical.

Mihalev is convinced that it is convenient for Radev to continue ruling as a caretaker government.

“Certain offices enjoy their power, Radev had said “as long as I am president, I will not allow warplanes and tanks to go to Ukraine”. I am one of those 16 deputies who have read the document – inside this secret decision, those things he listed were not inside,” said the guest.

According to him, the most effective can be an expert government: “A good option in this complex situation with a specific deadline and committed dates”.
