PP 3rd March Political Party Trademark Registered by President’s Camp

Against the background of the president’s words that in the current political situation “the emergence of an alternative is inevitable”, it turns out that people close to Radev have already registered the trademark “PP 3rd March”. This shows reference to the Patent Office. Tanya Naydenova, the former head of the department, was the first to raise the alarm about this registration.

“March 3rd PP” most likely means “March 3rd Political Party”. The bearer of the mark is the former Minister of Sports Vesela Lecheva, who has become clear that she has already registered the “Third March Movement”.

Among the first to comment on the news was the MP from PP-DB Ivaylo Mirchev.

“The project party of the presidential camp promises to be a real show! It’s not a joke. The brand “PP March 3” turned out to be registered by Vesela Lecheva and in the section for “entertainment, variety and show programs” of the patent office. Admirations! Finally, let’s see some candor from their side”the MP wrote on his X profile.

The trademark “PP 3 March” was applied for on August 4, 2023, and registered on December 5, 2023, the public register also shows. A curious detail is that it is registered in the sections advertising, education, training, entertainment, etc.

The rights to the brand are reserved until August 4, 2033, the registry shows.

Vesela Lecheva was in the initiative committee for preserving the third of March as a national holiday together with the historian Iskra Baeva, the MEP Petar Vitanov, and the journalist Yavor Dachkov. The initiative committee became a fact after a draft amendment to the Constitution envisaged a change in the national holiday. President Rumen Radev defended the date of March 3.

Mirchev: Can the show “Silk Road” pass for fun?

“It’s commendable indeed, one must have a clear political strategy. I’m just not sure how entertaining the show will be. You’ll be asking now what I’m judging by. Well, let’s take, for example, an attempt at a show organized, apparently, by the same producers. The show “Silk Road” is extremely entertaining, I would even say instructive. But can it pass for fun? I wouldn’t say,” added Ivaylo Mirchev in his comment.

Deputy Ivaylo Mirchev added that if they fail with the “March 3” initiative, people close to the president can try “March 8”

“It can’t be fun when corrupt circles connect with a presidential adviser, but the president is stubbornly pretending not to have heard, not seen and not understood. So, I’m not sure how well the future show will live up to the category. But what if they fail with the patriot vote, they can always keep the “PP March 8th” and go door to door with a red carnation. If nothing else, at least it will be fun.”., he wrote.

Rumen Gechev: This is proof of political engineering by the Presidency

BSP MP Rumen Gechev stated that the patenting of “March 3rd PP” is definitive proof that the Presidency is involved in political engineering and thus tramples on the Constitution.

“This is definitive proof that, unfortunately, the Presidency is involved in political engineering, and not for the first time. There is no doubt that the patenting, so to speak, of “March 3″, first as a movement and at the same time as PP – a political party by Mrs. Lecheva, which refers to the circle of Mr. President, is a violation . This, first of all, is a violation of the Constitution, as they have no right to participate in engineering political projects. Second, the registration on March 3rd is immoral, as it contradicts the laws of Bulgaria and the Labor Code, since no political force in Bulgaria has the right to appropriate national holidays. And thirdly, this is happening in August last year, which confirms what we have always said, that those who left the BSP and the National Council and made an accusation against the party, against the parliamentary group, against the leadership, in fact we were right, because now these submarines floated under the flag on March 3 and show that it was a well-organized operation to weaken the BSP,” said Gechev in the program “Offensive” on Nova News.

Interpretations

Ever since Radev spoke of an alternative on the political scene, controversial interpretations by his secretaries have followed. On Thursday, the President’s Secretary for Security and Defense, Dimitar Stoyanov, stated that there is no clarity about the future Third March party.

“It is not clear whether there will be a March Third party, and if there is one, whether it will be a presidential party or not,” commented Stoyanov.

According to him, the question whether Vesela Lecheva, Krum Zarkov and the former social ministers will be the faces of such an alternative should be addressed to them.

“I still don’t see such a project on the horizon, maybe we should discuss it after it appears,” said Dimitar Stoyanov. He admitted that if such a project exists, it will be positioned center-left.

Asked whether the presidential party will be pro-Russian, Stoyanov gave the surprising answer that there are no pro-Russian parties in our country.

“If there is such a project, within its framework it will be decided whether to work with Delyan Peevski, and Delyan Peevski will not decide whether to work with such a project,” he added.
